- Maine Senate Passes Smokefree Restaurant Bill
- The Maine Senate passed a bill that makes all restaurants in the
state smokefree.
The Maine House has already passed the
smokefree restaurant bill, and lawmakers must now resolve
last-minute amendments designed to weaken the bill before
sending the bill to Governor King, who supports smokefree
restaurants.
The Senate rejected a bill that would have banned
cigarette vending machines.
