National Foundation Posts Rules For Ad Agencies
The Master Settlement Agreement National Foundation, charged
with overseeing a tobacco control advertising campaign, posted
its rules for ad agencies seeking to bid for the campaign.
One rule, designed to exclude smaller agencies, requires ad agencies
and their partners to have annual billings of at least $500
million.
In addition, the foundation will exclude any agency
that has done work for tobacco companies since January 1, 1997,
and will require bidders to divulge if they are working on
non-tobacco business for companies that market tobacco products.
