Tobacco Endowment Receives $1.7 Billion
Florida Governor Jeb Bush (R) signed into law a bill that sets
aside $1.7 billion of the state's tobacco settlement money for
the Lawton Chiles Tobacco Endowment for Children and Elders.
The endowment will help pay for elderly care, Florida's child
welfare system and for cancer research.
